NEWS November 2020
Shepherds Talk has sponsored several knit for charity ideas in the past, and all of you made them an resounding success through your heartfelt caring for others. You may remember these . . .
The knitted nest project that Shepherds Talk sponsored for the Australian fires. We sent out close to 80 nests to help injured critters recuperate in comfort. The group that these were mailed to was so appreciative. We have also done little beanies for newborn intensive care babies which were greatly appreciated by staff and parents. You may also remember the small handheld knitted 'comfort buddy' dolls that were given to small scared children by social workers when they needed to remove them from a dangerous home situation occurred, and the cute knitted bunnies before that. Now we have a new one . . .

Donate a Hat for the Holidays & Keep Someone Warm
We were thinking this year that maybe we could participate together and knit, crochet or purchase a hat to try to keep the unfortunate homeless warm. From what I understand due to COVID-19 many of the centers that would give these folks reprieve are shutting down. We all have so much, with a roof over our head we thought it would be nice to share with those that have been devastated during this virus. What do you think? Use up some stash, and feel good doing it. Like the other projects you can mail your hat to us we will compile them and distribute them to an organization. C’mon guys let’s do this!! We all feel good when we show a little compassion. You can also donate hats that are not being worn and are in good clean condition they’d be appreciated too. We will post the address to send them to, or if you know of a local spot to donate, that works too!
